Dawn Light (Isaiah 9:2)

A spark about the ocean

Passing ripples on the waves

A fleeting little amber

Dances on dark swirling graves

But rising in the morning

High above the sea it grows

Brighter than the deepest dark

Unhindered it ever glows

More than spark I see it now

The dark flees about my eyes

I doubted there would come dawn

Did not recognize your size

Damnable the waves persuade

They feast on all fear and pride

But when righteous sun appears

They have no shelter to hide

Rest; bathing in warming light

Where I’m tossed but never drowned

Shore I know is coming soon

The Sun brings all of his found
