Hear worship, Lord, in Truth and Grace

As I before bow to Your face

Sovereign God unseen, but He

Through Jesus Christ Triune I see

In Truth by Word Your name made known

In Grace You draw me to Your throne

By Spirit furnaced to give forth fire

You work in me to Your desire

Purpose my good O Gracious God

Your will fulfill in sinful sod

As trees know not where water starts

Sufficient drink, sustained all parts

So too my God gifted by Word

To meditate whereby You gird

Hear worship come unto You now

Before Your presence I learn how

And honest words would never come

If not Your Grace complete my sum

Not that I have a bit to add

But wholly Thine, in that I’m glad

Oh heart, taste and sing of bliss

Before foundation; made for this!

As I am called to Your embrace
